Södergren was a master woodworker, cabinet and furniture maker whose work is collected both by private individuals and by the Smithsonian Institute. Examples of his furniture will be available for purchase at the tour, together with modernist paintings by Södergren's partner, Edith Fairhall.
Founded in Seattle in 1998, as a chapter of DOCOMOMO_US, this non-profit organization is dedicated to the Documentation and Conservation of the Modern Movement in Western Washington. The tour is on Sunday, July 12 runs from 11 am to 2 pm.
